Feb. 26 – “Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti,” one of the most popular independent groups of the Italian peninsula, make a stop in Lugano: the band will present at the studio “Foce,” on March 1, the new album “Nel Giardino Dei Fantasmi.” The album marks the comeback of “Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti”: Davide Toffolo, guitar and voice, Enrico Molteni, bass, Luca Masseroni, drums and vocals and Andrew Maglia at the guitar and vocals. “Nel Giardino Dei Fantasmi” is their seventh studio album and it follows the successful “Primitivi del Futuro” released in 2010. The album was recorded from March to September of 2012 at the Alambic Studio of Valvasone, in the province of Pordenone, Paolo Baldini as producer. I “Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti” with 100 songs, 7 official records, and more than a thousand concerts have been active since the mid-90s: they created a kind of parallel world made of comics and music. Their latest album is hard folk, or “ethnic”, as they describe it. The result recalls, in some way, the rhythms of Violent Femmes (their famous first album), but appeals also to a certain type of Fela Kuti.
