Mar. 15 – From Sunday, March 24, Dusseldorf, in the heart of Germany, will host the 2013 edition of ProWein, perhaps the most exclusive trade fair dedicated to wine and spirits in Northern Europe. Indeed, more than 3,400 companies from 51 countries of Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Oceania are displaying their products for an international audience of 36,000. ERSA, the Regional Agency for Rural Development of Friuli Venezia Giulia, has set up an area of about 200m2 in Hall 3, Stand A73, using the same communicative concept of Vinitaly. The space is divided into 43 stations operated by each of the wineries present. Promotion activities are conducted by the Agency, with the collaboration of two top journalists in the international wine sector: Richard Groesche from the Meininger publishing group, and Christian Eder from the Vinum magazine. The two, through guided tastings and seminars (three in all), will illustrate the variations of the best, most representative Friuli wines. The Friuli presence aims to promote local products in the German market. Indeed, ERSA wishes to enhance the value of Friuli wines by introducing their taste and preparation philosophy, as well as the uniquely rich territory from which they come, to the world.
