Mar. 18 – Love Reading, the first festival for children’s literature to take place on sea, arrived in Barcelona. The initiative was organized by Reading: All on board of the Grimaldi Cruise Roma, with the collaboration of ANP (National Association of Deans), Giffoni Film Festival, Agis Lazio, Giunti School, Happyland Travel, and with sponsorships by the Libraries of Rome, Rome Capital and the Lazio Region. In addition to Barcelona as a destination, the Cruise offers tomorrow performances, readings, games, and movies. Yesterday, the official National Anthem and Mameli/Constitution day, the story of the hymn was told through a show and some articles of the Constitution were discussed. On March 19th, for Father’s Day, the workshop “Daddy tell me a story” will be held to illustrate some of the techniques of reading aloud. There will also be the opportunity to view some films chosen in collaboration with the Giffoni Film Festival. And of course many books are available in the great library of the ship.
