Apr. 12 – Among the events organized for the Year of Italian Culture in the U.S., the images and sculptures of the visionary Giorgio De Chirico are also on the list. The composure of his metaphysical images and designs as well as the lucidity of his bronze sculptures will welcome visitors to the Phillips Collection in Washington DC. The exhibition “Myth and archeology in the works of Giorgio de Chirico” will bring a touch of metaphysical dimension and mythology: a journey of discovery through his survey and reinterpretation of the past. The exhibition, which features 19 sculptures and ten drawings, will open tomorrow and will be in DC until June 15, before heading to Providence.
