Apr. 12 – Felice Clemente, the most famous and acclaimed clarinetist and saxophonist of the Italian and international jazz scene, together with the Argentinian guitarist known for his tango and folklore Javier Pérez Forte, will hold a minitour in the United States between April 24 to 29. The occasion is the World Day of Jazz, set by UNESCO on April 30. The duo, working steadily for several years and boasting an extraordinary critical acclaim, will perform at the Consulate General of Argentina in New York City (Wednesday, 24 April), at Jazz Week, Boston’s Jazz Festival and at the Boston Jazz Club Lily-Pad (Sunday, April 28). For the occasion, the eclectic duo will present songs from their latest CD “Aire Libre” (2012), without of course neglecting pieces from Escaleras (2008), their first album together, both published by Crossroads of Sound Records . Felice Clemente and Javier Pérez Forte combine flair and natural elements of Jazz with South American music, Afro, Tango Classical and Contemporary music. The result of this long research is a free and open conception of music, able to overcome borders, stereotypes and barriers.
