Apr. 11 – Nek is back. Announced on radios with his latest single, “Congiunzione Astrale,” the artist is ready to launch, on April 16th, his 11th album as solo artist, which takes his birth name: “Filippo Neviani.” The album is produced by Nek, Alfredo Cerruti and Dado Parisini for Warner Music Italy. iTunes already made the album available on its digital store with a bonus track entitled “La mitad de nada”, the Spanish version of “La Metà di Niente” sung in duet with Sergio Dalma. The album will be released simultaneously in Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Slovenia and Turkey, while the Spanish version will be published on June 11th in Spain and Latin America. “Filippo Neviani” is certainly the most heartfelt record of the artist’s career, as all 10 tracks are played entirely by him, confirming him as a complete artist in the triple role of author, performer and musician. Pre-production began after the birth of his daughter, while the album was completed after the death of Nek’s father, to whom it is entirely dedicated. Many are the issues touched upon: a reflection on Italy’s contemporary history in “Hey Dio”; selfishness and human frailty in “Soltanto Te”, love in “La Metà di Niente” and “Uno Come Me”, the desire for emotions in “Dammi di Più”, the birth of his daughter in “Dentro L’Anima” (which contains his daughter’s heart beat), friendship in “Io no mai”, separation in “Verrà il Tempo”, the relationship with his stepdaughter in “Il Mondo tra le mani”, fate in “Congiunzione Astrale”. Nek’s popularity is evident when looking at the more than eight million records sold worldwide, a 22-year career and his coronation as an international star, confirmed by his presence in the top 10 of the most popular artists on Spotify , while its Facebook page surpassed 70,000 fans.
