Oct. 12 – Italian cinema will be the main protagonist of the special program day, December 4, 2012, organized by Ventana Sur – the most important cinematographic fair in Latin America. The official event is held between November 30 and December 3, by Cannes Marché du Film and INCAA, and aims at bringing in one place, Buenos Aires, the total of the Latin American offer. Since its installment in 2009, there have been over 1800 participants, of which 300 distributors from other continents. This year, however, is the first time Ventana Sur branches out by projecting non-Latin American films: indeed, the Italian cinema market, with its distributors, buyers and local operators, is the first to enter the event. This is partially due to the fact that Italian cinema needs to increase its visibility abroad, while offering a wide range of films, all of high quality, which circulate in the international circuits thanks to the Festivals of Venice, Rome and Turin.
