May 3 – “It’s a great satisfaction for the Puglia Region that the Blackshape received the Flieger Magazine Award for best airplane in the world in 2013 in the ultra-light category. It’s a beautiful story of excellence from Puglia.” With these words the Youth Politics of the Puglia Region Guglielmo Minervini comments the news of the award given to the young company from Monopoli during the German Trade Fair in Friedrichshafen, the most important European event for producers in the aviation industry. The award is assigned by the German magazine Flieger Magazine through an international panel of 100 independent journalists from around the world. “The Blackshape is just the tip of the iceberg, behind this reality that has been able to stand at the international level we are fostering a fertile ground for many other experiences, as evidenced by the growing emphasis on start-ups in Puglia. Those entrepreneurs are able to give the best of themselves; they have an overwhelming energy that often leads them to points of excellence. We are thus working to create a system capable of producing other excellent measures able to compete with the real economy.”
