May 14 – Second year students of the Flic – Circus School of Turin “two-year training course for contemporary circus” left for Pilsen, where they will perform their end-of-year show, “Models from Turin,” tomorrow at the headquarters of the Institute of Art and Design at the University of West Bohemia. Like every year, the show allows the students to put into practice the techniques, acrobatics, dance moves, circus acting and team working skills they learnt during their time at Flic. The show will also be streamed live at the Flic headquarters in Via Magenta 11 in Turin, with free admission, so that the members of the public, who followed the students throughout the numerous activities held in Turin (in particular “Circus Pills”), have a chance to see live the last step of these two years of training. The show is part of the larger “Flic 10,” the series of events organized to celebrate the 10th anniversary since the school’s foundation, its circus training, production of shows and artistic accompaniment of young companies. Petr Forman, one of the most important and visionary filmmakers on the international scene, will be directing the show, he is also the artistic director of Pilsen European Capital of Culture 2015 and son of the film director Milos Forman. The Institute of Art and Design in Pilsen, that opened this year with a performance by artists from Flic, specializes in creating sets and costumes for shows.
