May 27 – ICE’s promotional program provides for, as part of the promotional initiatives in support of the gold sector, the realization of an autonomous Gold Show to be held in Warsaw on 11 and 12 June. Born as an annual traveling initiative, it became wildly successful in Central and Eastern Europe since the first edition, held in Warsaw in 2008, repeated in Budapest in 2009, in Bucharest in 2010 – 2011, and in Sofia in 2012. “The gold and silverware market in Central and Eastern Europe – explains the Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian firms, in a note – is commensurate with the size and organization of the various countries and the population. Production and trade are carried out mainly by a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises that expand their range by resorting to imported items. Indeed, often the figures of the importer and the retailer coincide; with operators occupying leading market positions and geared towards luxury goods, targeting a high disposable income population barely affected by the crisis.”
