June 3 – The ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian firms – is organizing the Italian delegation participating in Natpe Budapest (former Discop), scheduled for June 24-27. Natpe Budapest is the most important exhibition of the audiovisual sector for Central and Eastern Europe: it promotes the production and distribution of audiovisual content in rapidly expanding, strategic markets. The regions have, in total, 1.000 television stations insuring national coverage, 3.000 regional and local channels, 200 Pay-TV multi-platforms, 150 distributors of Home-Video, and 50 format manufacturers. The 2012 edition saw the participation of 200 exhibitors from 50 countries, with 1.500 visitors and the presence of 435 buyers. “The goal – explain ICE in a footnote – is to offer Italian companies in the sector the opportunity to consolidate trade relations and facilitate the identification of new potential buyers or co-producing areas.”
