July 15 – Enel Green Power has connected to the network its first solar power plants in Romania, Berceni 1 and Berceni 2 in the district of Prahova, for a total installed capacity of 19MW, with production reaching about 29 million kilowatt hours per year. Berceni 1, with an installed capacity of about 10 MW, is able to generate nearly 15 million kilowatt hours per year, which corresponds to the annual needs of more than 7,500 families while preventing the emission into the atmosphere of more than 6800 tons of CO2. Berceni 2 has an installed capacity of about 9 MW, it can generate more than 14 million kilowatt hours per year, equal to the annual needs of more than 6,500 households, thus avoiding the emission of more than 6,500 tons of CO2 per year. Berceni 1 and Berceni 2 are the first photovoltaic plants of Enel Green Power in Romania, a country where the Enel Group has already an installed capacity of 498 MW of wind power.
