July 29 – Among the many ways to celebrate the arrival of the Royal Baby, Italy claims the sweetest. The Modica Artisan Chocolate Consortium designed a special edition chocolate bar for the British heir, enclosed in a special wrapping, also dedicated to the Royal Baby. The bar, produced by master chocolatier Ignazio Iacono, includes cocoa from Ecuador, Italian sugar, vanilla from Madagascar and Sri Lankan cinnamon. In accordance with the original recipes, which date back to 1746, the bar also contains a special dedication, and will be donated to all British children born on the same day as the little heir. A similar initiative was already held on the occasion of the royal wedding: the bar was delivered to the royal couple through the Italian embassy in London.
