July 31 – The Giffoni Film Festival came to an end near Salerno only a few days ago, the most important festival for young people in Europe, now in its 43rd edition, and now it assesses its 2013 performance. With about 200,000 admissions in eleven days, 200 shows, 3,300 jurors and 100,000 spectators who attended premieres and special events, the Giffoni was confirmed once again leading the world of children’s films. “In September we will be in Macedonia to continue our work in the Balkans, that will see us also traveling in Kosovo and Serbia. Then we leave for Doha, Qatar, and in January we will be in Brazil,” says Claudio Gubitosi, founder and director of the Giffoni Experience, already looking at the future. “Giffoni never ends.” After Macedonia, the Giffoni Film Festival will set sail for Qatar: “We will remain in Doha for the next 3 years, helping organize a local festival for children in their area. It’s the first time that an intangible asset is exported and many of my colleagues will support the Doha trainers. In January we will be in Brazil. ” The success of the Giffoni Film Festival, founded in 1971, indeed knows no borders. The Giffoni Experience already set its presence in South America last year, with the first edition of the Giffoni Film Festival São Paulo.
