Aug. 14 – At first glance, it would seem impossible to capture all io Italy’s Unesco treasures in one exhibition, given that the country has the highest number of Unesco sites in the world. Also, Italy holds an important international role in the management of the artistic and cultural wealth of the Organization, by carrying out support actions in favor of emerging countries’ maintenance and inscription in the UN list of their sites. Yet, 150 photographs and snapshots of famous movies have succeeded in the apparently impossible mission: 47 of Italy’s UNESCO-listed masterpieces will relive in the US on occasion of the Year of Italian Culture in the US. After its debut in Miami, the exhibit will be, from tomorrow to Sept. 7, at the University of Southern Missouri in Joplin. It will then be hosted in Reno, Nevada, on occasion of the Arte Italia show, from Sept. 26 to Nov. 24, and at the Italian-American Museum of San Francisco from Dec. 5 to Jan. 26.
