Aug. 26 – Italy has one of the highest amount of gamers in Europe, where it figures fourth for consoles and software bought. Yet, the Italian gaming industry is not as well developed as the rest of the world, and there are very few software companies that provide high quality products. At the moment, the gaming industry is coming together in Cologne, for the digital entertainment fair, Gamescom, a major industry trade show. And there Ovosonico, an Italian software company, will present one of its creations, Murasaki Baby, created in direct collaboration with Sony. The game, developed for PS Vita, exploits the console’s touch screen to bring the user in a horror/fairy-tale world in which the hero is a little girl with a purple balloon in the shape of heart. Behind Ovosonico there is the creative mind of Massimo Guarini, programmer and game designer who has worked on big projects like Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and Shadows of the Damned.
