Aug. 26 – Campus Party is the biggest technology, creativity and innovation event in the world. It lasts for a whole week and is active 24/7. It brings together students, technology experts, geeks and hackers. The specialists meet to discuss, work, reflect, and give birth to new ideas and projects. Every year there are 10 Campus Parties worldwide. The next European session will be held in London, September 2-7, with previous editions held in Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, Peru, and Germany. This time, thousands of “campuseros” will come together for a truly unique and therefore unrepeatable experience, rich in workshops, keynote speakers, and gaming competitions. And the University of Siena has been selected among other Italian universities to participate in the prestigious event. Coordinated by Prof. Patrizia Marti in collaboration with the URP / Europe Direct Information Centre of Siena, the Tuscan institute had already sent 40 students to last year’s Berlin event. In London, the location chosen to accommodate the 10,000 campuseros is the 02 Arena, decorated for the occasion with tents, computers and robots. “Promoting digital skills, help turn ideas into reality and support employment among European states” is the slogan chosen for this year’s European edition.
