Sept. 6 – Since it was founded in Turin in 1906, Lancia has been synonymous of class and elegance in the automobile world, qualities that belong, overseas, to another historic brand, Chrysler. For this reason, once the Fiat group bought into Chrysler, it was almost natural for Lancia to strike a deal with Chrysler, match the two industrial cultures. The Lancia Voyager, which made its debut in 2011, is one of the products of this union. Now, for the long-awaited Frankfurt Motor Show, held September 12-22, Lancia debuts its Voyager S, completing the model range with a contemporary alternative to its style and expanding its ” S” offer. The “S” products so far include Ypsilon S and Delta S by Momodesign. Momodesign embodies a “urban chic” style, a new form of contemporary, versatile and creative elegance born from its urban soul: open, relaxed, expressive, “chic,” sophisticated, distinctive, and quality conscious. In this context, the new Lancia Voyager S will be marketed starting January 2014 on all European markets. On the outside, the new version is characterized by a black chrome front grille glossy, new 17 ” alloy wheels, also painted glossy black, and the “S” logo on the tailgate. The same design language is evident on the inside, where the environment is marked by the seat upholstery in fabric and black leather with gray stitching, the same that can be found on the front door panels, glossy black finish for the inserts on the dashboard and steering wheel, in addition to the “S” logo on the back of the front seats. “With the new S version – reads a note from Lancia – The Lancia Voyager confirms the benchmark in the segment of large MPVs and epitomized the space shared between travel emotions and experiences. Depending on the market, the range consists of three trim levels (Silver, Platinum and S) and two engines: a new 2.8L turbo diesel 178 hp and the 3.6L petrol V6 Pentastar 283 HP . “But the news does not end here: in Frankfurt, the Lancia also presents the 2014 Lancia Delta model which will also be marketed in major European markets starting in January 2014. This is a refinement of Lancia’ flagship compact range, “the update – says the company – has a number of style changes that will satisfy a customer looking for metropolitan style and personality.” At the German event, Lancia’s special S series will also include the Elephant and Ypsilon “S Momodesign.”
