Oct. 10 – The Argentine poet Jorge Luis Borges remarked that the sea “unites and separates,” and it is up to the will of men to determine which one will prevail. For example, the Marche and Albania are separated from the sea, but they are united in a joint transnational cooperation project under the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative on Research, Innovation and Technology Transfers. These are the keywords of Next project, to be presented tomorrow in Scutari, Albania, in the presence of local authorities and the economic and social partners in the countries involved. “Research and innovation will be the two key themes of the EU 2014-2020 program and this project will be a new opportunity to promote cross-border cooperation within the Adriatic Ionian macro-region,” said the Councilor for Industry, Research and Innovation of Marche Region, Sara Giannini. The event, organized by the Regional Council of Shkodra in collaboration with the Marche Region, will be an opportunity to share experiences and compare the work of eleven project partners, with the aim to strengthen their competitiveness in collaborative economic planning.
