Oct. 15 – “I am very happy and proud of the results, which show a clear positive trend in our performance, particularly with regard to the integration of teaching and scientific research: our university’s strength. The climb up in world rankings is very difficult but at the University of Trieste we pursuit it with strong determination.” Says the Dean of the University of Trieste, Maurizio Fermeglia, who declared himself enthusiastic and proud of the brilliant achievement, as highlighted in the National Taiwan University Ranking. The University of Trieste improved its position in the prestigious international ranking, compiled by the University of Taiwan, ranking 287th in the overall ranking (last year Trieste was 291st). When the ranking is done in consideration of the actual number of in-service teachers in each university, Trieste then ranks 232nd. The NTU ranking takes into account the impact of scientific publications of every university in the international field, based entirely on statistical data.
