Oct. 30 – The Italian army began its in the field preparation and training program for the Libyan armed forces and security services. Yesterday Tripoli hosted the first phase of the project that will train 500 soldiers. These, after an initial selection and amalgamation phase, will be sent to Italy to pursue specialized training. The Libyan personnel selection and training was conducted in coordination with local authorities by a team of 15 Italian soldiers.
