Nov. 27 – Sace, the credit company specialized in supporting businesses abroad, will soon have a new office in Mexico City. The announcement occurred during the last technical mission in the Central American country “with which Sace – reads a note – has been working profitably for many years, with an excellent track record for operations and positive business prospects in the medium and long-term.” It is no coincidence that Sace will be the first European credit company to have a representative office in Mexico. Here Sace already has a portfolio of commitments equal to €1.1 billion (second only to the commitments in Brazil, equal to €1.3 billion), and is working to close operations worth €250 million in a wide variety of sectors, with SMEs taking a leading role next to the large industrial groups. “Despite the recent slowdown, Mexico maintains a positive long-term prospective, thanks to a growth and development trend fruit of long-term policies – said Raoul Ascari, chief operating officer, at a press conference in Mexico City – The opening of the new office will strengthen our capacity to intervene and allow us to seize the best opportunities for Italian companies, in partnership with banks and companies that operate in this market.” The group has also announced its cooperation agreement with Bancomext and Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior, for Training & Advisory. Signed during the mission, the cooperation agreement represents a step forward in building a relationship with one of Sace’s key stakeholders in the Mexican market.
