Dec. 9 – Italy has been chosen to manage air traffic in the world’s most ambitious airport project. ENAV won the international tender in support of the development for the Dubai World Central Airport; its aim will be to optimize air traffic flow across Dubai. The National Company for Air Navigation Services (ENAV) sees its sole director, Massimo Garbini, express great satisfaction: “This result definitively confirms our professional and commercial ability. Being a partner of Dubai Airport, the largest and busiest airport in the world, makes us proud and places us in a stronger position in the aviation world.” ENAV is now present in over 20 countries around the world with its services and is driving the modernization and development process of international airports and airspaces. The company will now address the air traffic management at an airport with 5 landing strips, 12 tons of cargo and 160 million passengers. The Dubai World Central Airport will be 10 times larger than the current Dubai International Airport and will handle almost double the passengers of the Atlanta Hartsfield- Jackson Airport, currently the busiest airport in the world.
