Jan. 31 – “Blueline” is a special label, printed with magnetic ink, that can alert immediately of any irregularities in the cold processing chain of production. Basically, if a perishable product – a food or a drug – is exposed for a period of time at temperatures that can degrade optimum preservation, the label on the single package records it, reporting it to the manager of shop. “Blueline” has already been introduced on some fresh produce in two store in Trento and Rovereto. Cold–Pharma, a young company launched by the D2T Trentino Sviluppo Prize, created the concept and grew over the years, also opening distribution channels in Israel and Brazil. The original and inexpensive idea is getting the attention of several multinational companies in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The mission, for Cold –Pharma, is to provide its customers with the opportunity to monitor the cold processing chain, identify the flaws of the system along the supply chain and then take effective and targeted corrective action. The company manufactures, markets and sells all over the world this new type of smart adhesive label, which to date is the most economical and practical for the verification of existing cold chain processing irregularities.
