Feb. 19 – Piedmont participates for the first time at Gulf Food Dubai, the largest exhibition in the Middle East dedicated to the food and beverage industry, scheduled for February 23 to 27. The participation of the Italian region is part of the Supply Chain Piedmont Food Excellence Integrated Project, run by the Foreign Centre for Internationalisation (Ceipiemonte) on behalf of the Region, Unioncamere Piemonte and the regional Chambers of Commerce. Nine Piedmont exhibitors will arrive in Dubai directly from Biella, Cuneo, Turin and Vercelli. Piedmont has chosen to show off in one of the most popular showcases in the industry: last year, Gulf Food registered 77,600 visitors from over 152 countries and hosted 4,200 exhibitors in an area of 113,000m2. The products that the Piedmont delegation will propose at the Dubai fair include: cheeses, desserts, chocolate, and meat. The latter is a difficult product to export to the Emirates and the Piedmont company that accepted the challenge is getting all the necessary halāl certifications.
