Mar. 26 – “We recently managed to open an office in Canada. A person interested in our services became our business procurer, putting us in contact with other realities. It wasn’t a premeditated plan, but in 2008 we created this ad hoc company in Vancouver,” recounts Stefano Cespa, commercial manager of Tre (Tele-Rilevamento Europa), a Milan-based company active in the field in satellite data processing for environmental monitoring. And today, Tre.srl was the headliner for the conference “New development opportunities in Canada” organized in Rome by ICE, the agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies. The conference sought to explain to Italian entrepreneurs the new opportunities that will become available with the official ratification of the EU-Canada CETA – Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, signed last October. Tre was founded in 2000 and within eight years it opened an office in Vancouver. In Milan, there are 35 employees, in the Canadian office there are 10; their turnover amounts to €6 million and €2 million, respectively. “We are still in a growth phase – said the sales manager – So in the next few years we will consolidate our presence in the oil and gas, mineralogical and infrastructure markets.” Tre is the first spin-off company of the Politecnico di Milano.
