Seoul – From tomorrow until Saturday, the ICE Agency is organizing Italy’s collective participation at “Seoul International Wines & Spirits Expo,” held in the South Korean capital. The event is organized and promoted by the Association of Korean Importers, and is the most important event dedicated to the wine industry in the Asian country. South Korea now represents, for the Italian wine, one of the most dynamic markets in the Far East, sporting one of the world’s most interesting growth rates and consumption patterns. In 2012, South Korea imported a record of 51,000 hectoliters of Italian wine, for a value of nearly €19 million, showing a growth of 28.8% over 2011. ISTAT data for the first half of 2013 confirms the positive trend, for a further increase in deliveries in value (+13.1%) and in volume (+21.2%). (9Colonne)
