Tirana – The Giffoni Experience returns to Tirana for the 9th edition of the “Giffoni – Albania” film festival, which will take place from today until May 2. Many young Albanians, Macedonians, Kosovars and Italians eagerly await the four days of the Giffoni Experience in the Balkans. 3000 young people between 13 and 18 will be part of an international jury that will vote upon a selection of the best films in competition at the 43rd edition of the Giffoni Film Festival. These include “L’Ultimo Goal” by Federico Di Cicilia (Italy), “Mike Says Goodbye” (the Netherlands) by Maria Peters, “La Jaula De Oro” (Netherlands/Mexico/Spain) by Diego Quemada-Diez, “Black Diamonds” (Portugal/Spain) by Miguel Alcantud, “The Pieces of Me” (France) by Nolëenn Lemesle, and “Regreet” (Netherlands) by D’aver Schram. After four days in Tirana, the festival will move to Elbasan, Durres and Shkoder, where it will seek the participation of another 6000 young people. “It is undoubtedly a very ambitious project – says Claudio Gubitosi, director of the Giffoni Experience – that will be rolled out day after day in cooperation with all partners.” (9Colonne)
