Zurich – The Consortium “Vini del Piemonte” arrives in Zurich for the 4th edition of “Barolo & Friends,” with workshops, discussions, dinners and food and wine pairings of excellence that will bring the public closer to Piedmont wines. The event will take place at Zunfthaus zur Saffran, headquarters of the agro-food merchants of Zurich, thanks to a partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland. Vinum, the main Swiss magazine dedicated to wine, is the media partner for the event. A new tradition makes its debut this year at Barolo & Friends 2014: the Lottery Ethics “Adotta un Orto in Africa,” a contest that will award the lucky winners stays in Piedmont, gourmet products, Slow Food Editore publications, access to the Salone del Gusto in Turin and Alessi design objects. Part of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity to support the project “10,000 Orti in Africa.” (9Colonne)
