May 15 – “Terramatta” by Constanza Quatriglio will represent Italy in the 11th European Film Show held in Buenos Aires May 21-30. The documentary film, produced by Chiara Ottaviano for Cliomedia Workshop in co-production with Luce Cinecittà, will take the stage along with other European films during the event organized by the European Union Delegation to Argentina, the Alliance Française, and the Italian Culture Institute in Buenos Aires in collaboration with local European embassies. All films will be screened in their original language with Spanish subtitles either at the local Alliance Française of Italian Cultural Institute headquarters. “I’m delighted by this new recognition,” said Chiara Ottaviano, who strongly wanted to make a film based on the autobiography of Vincent Rabito, guarded in the National Diary of Pieve Santo Stefano and only published by Einaudi in 2007. “After two years since the premier in Venice – said the producer – Terramatta continues to be broadcast, screened and appreciated both in Italy and abroad.”
