Cape Town – South Africa continues to confirm itself as one of the most promising markets. So, to promote the image of Italian cuisine, its products, and to engage with commercial actors and consumers, Italian food and wine will increase their presence in national trade shows. The institutional initiative was developed by the Johannesburg offices of the ICE Agency and involves several major promotional events. In Cape Town, at “Hostex,” which will take place from tomorrow until May 23, the activities include cooking demonstrations, overseen by chef Giorgio Nava, Italian restaurateur in Cape Town. During “Food Hospitality World,” which will be held in Cape Town May 26-28, the ICE Johannesburg office is organizing a mission for the incoming importers from other African countries, in order to increase business opportunities for Italian companies at the fair. The event will also host a show cooking with chefs Giorgio Nava and Carlo Cracco on the final day. Finally, during “Good Food & Wine Show,” which will be held in Cape Town May 29-June 1, the ICE Agency will open a Service Centre that will provide visitors with information on Italian food products.
