May 21 – A mega-production by a team of 40 professionals who explored the length and breadth of the Vatican Museums: suggestive shots taken at night through the halls that house some of the most rare and precious art pieces in the world. Thanks to a unique mix between 3D and the most advanced dimensionalization technologies (used by James Cameron and Tim Burton), viewers will have the opportunity to see the great masterpieces of art history in “The Vatican Museums 3D,” produced by Sky 3D and Sky Arts HD in collaboration with the Directorate of the Vatican Museums. The film is getting ready to conquer the world: at the Cannes Film Festival, Nexo Digital, the leading publisher and distributor in the field of alternative content, announced the acquisition and distribution in international cinema of the film. The unique film, spectacular and exciting, will arrive in Italy in the fall. In Cannes agreements with numerous distributors and exhibitors were completed thanks to Nexo Digital, which proposed that the film will be distributed in France, Britain, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, and South Korea. While other negotiations are still ongoing, including those with North America and other countries of South America. Cosetta Lagani, director of Sky 3D explains: “We are very proud of the fact that an original Sky production, in collaboration with the Directorate of the Vatican Museums, is now distributed in cinemas not only in Italy but all over the world. It is a product that reveals for the first time in 3D the treasures held within one of the most admired and most visited museums in the world.”
