Sanming – The international tour of the Youth Orchestra directed by Michelangelo Galeati is about to come to an end. The large crowds and standing ovations at every concert finale were a clear success for an initiative that, in little more than two weeks, performed in Beijing, Dongying, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Wuhan and Sanming, where the tour will end tomorrow, on January 6. Born to spread Neapolitan music in Italy and abroad, the Orchestra performs the most important arias of the famous Neapolitan repertoire, exploring also in classical music, with Strauss waltzes and marches, as well as works by Puccini, Donizetti and Rossini. Soprano Flavia Colagioia and tenor Romolo Tisano also joined the project, undertaken in collaboration with the Akademie Konzert Bureau of Klaus Richter and the Berlin Entertainment led by Sven Göttlicher, with the collaboration of fifty young musicians from the Conservatories of Naples, Campobasso, Rome, Bari and Benevento.
