May 27 – Italy’s beauties are on display in Barcelona thanks to the Italian Institute of Culture that, June 3-30, will host “Il Paesaggio Descritto,” a photographic exhibition of 45 Italian UNESCO sites as seen from the lens of Bolognese photographer Luca Capuano. The Italian Unesco World Heritage Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, created the first draft of the photo exhibition dedicated to Italy’s UNESCO heritage sites. This initiative was made possible thanks to law 77/ 06, which protects and enhances the Italian sites in the list, in order to assist national institutions in their dissemination, preservation and promotion. Luca Capuano is specialized in architectural photography and has carried out numerous projects of interpretive analysis and documentation in the field of contemporary and historical architecture for publishing houses, museums, foundations, government agencies and private clients. He teaches history and language of photography at the ISIA in Urbino and lives and works in Bologna.
