June 9 – Figures sitting in silence, segregated, by the sea, in front of distant horizons, skies full of clouds, gloomy cities… This and much more is what to expect of the Italian-American photographer John R. Pepper and the exhibit “Evaporations,” on display June 20-27 in the Rosfoto Center of St. Petersburg. The exhibition is sponsored and supported by the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in St. Petersburg and is part of the official program of the Russia-Italy Year of Tourism. The exhibition will be inaugurated by John Pepper on June 19 at 7pm. This will not be his first time in Russia, where he has already exhibited his works in St. Petersburg in 2012 during the 10th Photovernissage at the Exhibition Hall “Manege”, and in May 2013 in the foyer of the Theatre Na Vasilievskom, during the “Dearest Matilda” show, which he also directed.
