June 18 – Preparations are underway in France to set up Italy’s solar house at the Cité du Soleil, in Versailles, where from June 29 to July 14 the Olympics of ecological design will be held. The only Italian prototype in the race is an innovative design for a house with solar tents, lodges that change the temperature inside, and railings in which runs a coolant to keep temperatures low in the summer. The project saw the participation of the very best of Italy’s green economy: seven companies contributed with advanced technologies and innovative processes to the prototype, built by a team of 40 students and 15 teachers of the Department of Architecture at the University of Roma Tre. The result of this collective work is RhOME for denCity, a house of 67 square meters built with innovative know-how that already has a total annual turnover of more than € 1.8 billion, all thanks to green companies.
