July 21 – Umbria and Serbia are ready for a new round of projects thanks to the recently signed protocol between the Italian Region and the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, which regulates mutual relations and economic, social and cultural events. The protocol also provides for coordinated actions for the implementation of partnership and exchange projects, within the European Union framework policies and programs. The signing event saw the participation of the President of the Vojvodina Province, Bojan Pajtic, and the Vice-President of the Umbria Region, Carla Casciari. “The constant and fruitful relationship with the Province of Vojvodina – said Casciari – dates back to the 2000s, with Umbria’s participation in the Italian co-operation program in the Balkans and the meetings with representatives from the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. This relationship intensified in later years, and is now ready to further strengthen cultural, social and economic ties.”
