Beirut – Italy has renewed its aid programs in the Middle East to cope with the continuing humanitarian crisis caused by the Syrian Civil War. The Italian Directorate General for Development Cooperation has approved new funds in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq for a total of €7.5 million in support of UNICEF, the WFP, the UNHCR, and the ICRC to help the affected people. These contributions were previously announced during the Donors Conference in Kuwait City last January. (9Colonne)
