July 31 – Collaborations, cultural exchanges, and new opportunities for the University of Macerata and Beijing Normal University. The two institutions continue their joint research program with delegation of teachers and graduate students from Beijing Normal University received by Macerata University dean, Luigi Lacchè. The group will spend a month in Italy, in Macerata and Ancona, to study commercial relations between Italy – and, more generally Europe – and China, as part of the European projects “Poreen” and “Chetch “, both included in the Marie Curie program. At the same time, graduate students from the University of Macerata have already spent or are still spending a study period in China. The “Poreen” project, coordinated by the University of Macerata, concerns partnership opportunities between Europe and China in the field of renewable energy and the environment, and related industries. It involves four Chinese universities and five universities that bring together engineering, economic and legal expertise. Among the institutions in China, there are also the prestigious JaoTong Shanghai and the East China University of Political Science and Law. On the European side, there are: Ultster University, Toulouse Business School, the Institute Iuse of Turin, and the Università Politecnica delle Marche.
