Aug. 14 – “Dante and Islam” and “Dante and love” are just two of the possible themes chosen among those proposed within the Divine Comedy. But precisely these two will be explored tonight at the Italian Institute of Culture of Buenos Aires, at 6:30pm. The conference will approach Dante’s literary masterpiece from the point of view of Islamic culture and psychology. Ricardo H. Elía, Secretary of Culture of the Centro Islamico Argentino, and Teresa Calisti, psychiatrist and member of a research group on art and mental health, are the main speakers. They will explore the different issues analyzing the rich and complex references in the Comedy, that continue to spark the interests of critics even today.
