(Aug. 22) Ferrari’s color may be red, but the company is making concerted efforts to go green. In China, Ferrari has become carbon neutral, thanks to the collaboration with a non-profit association, and has since planted 111,627 trees in the inner regions of Mongolia. The trees offset the amount of CO2 emitted by currently circulating Ferraris, an amount calculated on the average number of kilometers driven by clients as well as the amount emitted for production and transportation to China. Ferrari joined the 1 million trees project in 2012, and it is the first luxury sports cars brand in China that can called Carbon Neutral.
