Sept. 2 – Water is the gold of the 21st century is the motto of the World Water Week in Stockholm, the world’s largest event on the future of water organized by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). The weeklong event kicked off on Sunday, August 31, hosting conventions and trade shows related to the issue of water conservation and purification. Italy participates in the event with Eco-Sistemi, an innovative startup incubated at Progetto Manifattura, the clean tech hub of Trentino Sviluppo. In Stockholm, the startup born thanks to the support of the Seed Money-FESR will present the first water purifier that uses plastic bottle caps for recycling. Eco-Sistemi has developed and marketed RCBR machines, presenting them for the first time to an international audience. RCBR is an ultra compact and economical system for the purification of municipal and industrial sewage: this new technology – Italian patent with PCT extension – solves the problem of biodegradable wastewater treatment, for areas that, for geographical or economic reasons, cannot connect to the municipal sewer system.
