Sept. 5 – A The Umbria Region announced that it will support local businesses that wish to internationalize with a public tender on “business networks for internationalization,” which aims to strengthen the companies’ competitiveness and market their craft products abroad. The initial budget has been fixed at €250.000, which can then be integrated with additional national and EU funds. The grant can cover up to 50% of eligible expenses, for a maximum of €50.000 per project. The Region directed its industrial and investment for internationalization policies along three main axes: a broad spectrum of services that promote the spread firms’ access to international markets; the promotion and support of clusters and macro-chains for the most representative sectors (such as aerospace, green chemistry and home furnishings); services for smaller firms. “This tender – said the Regional Enterprise and Employment Coordinator, Luigi Rossetti – is intended for smaller companies, for which it wants to be a support instrument to access the 2014-2020 EU funds.”
