Sept. 11 – Pirelli once again holds high Italy’s reputation abroad. For the eighth consecutive year, the Group has been confirmed worldwide leader of At Auto Components. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes rated Pirelli with an 85/100, compared to an industry average of 48/100. “The results of the 2013 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) review – explains Pirelli in a note – were announced today by S & P Dow Jones Indices, the most important provider of financial market indices, and RobecoSAM, the Swiss group specializing in evaluation of sustainable investments.” The evaluation of businesses’ sustainable performance focuses on the 2,500 largest companies in the S & P Global Broad Market Index and their 59 sectors, covering 47 countries. The analysis centers on economic performance and the attention to social and environmental issues in terms of the ability to create long-term value for shareholders.
