(Oct. 7) In recent days he has made stops in Spain, France and Armenia. And now, right before Romania, Hungary and Finland, Claudio Pozzani prepares to land in Canada. On October 14, the Italian poet, writer and narrator will be in fact at the Italian Cultural Institute in Montreal. Defined by Spanish playwright Fernando Arrabal a “master of the unseen, a fire thief”, Pozzani interpret various poetic texts from the futurism. Genovese, born in 1961, and father of the Casa Internazionale di Poesia in Genoa, Pozzani will read poems, songs, novels and documents focusing on the publication of the “Manifesto” by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti – founder of the movement – that proclaimed the Futurist avant-garde principles: speed , modernity and change. The choice of the Futurism is not accidental and it is linked to the 70th anniversary of the death of Marinetti. Not to forget other important celebrations related to exponents of Futurism: the 50th anniversary of Soffici’s death and the 40th anniversary of Palazzeschi’s death. In Canada, Pozzani will be at the International Festival of Poetry de Trois-Rivieres (October 7-12) and at the Societé de Dante Quebec (October 13). (red)
