Bucharest – Document Art 2014 saw Italy’s Rai triumph. The Documentary Festival in Bucharest gave four awards to Rai, the most important of which went to the Rai Culture documentary on “Alessandro Mendini, il teatro degli oggetti,” directed by Christian Angeli, who won the Best film on Art award. Rai was also awarded the Jury Award for “Il Carattere Italiano,” produced by Alpenway in collaboration with RAI 3; the Best Portrait Award for “Rene Gruau – Disegnare la Moda,” produced by Doc Art for Rai Educational and NDR ARTE, and the Best Cultural, Historical And Religious Tourism Documentary Award for “Ebrei a Roma,” a film production by Blue film and Rai Cinema in collaboration with Cinecittà Luce.
