Beijing – Representatives of Italian Space Agency (ASI) are participating, from today until Sunday, the first workshop dedicated to the CSES (China Seismo-Electromagnetism Satellite). CSES is the first Chinese space platform for seismic monitoring systems, funded by the China National Space Administration. In 2013, ASI and CNSA signed a memorandum of understanding to establish Italy’s participation in the realization of the first satellite system. Italy contributed to the design, implementation, testing and delivery of the HEPD particle detector, and helped in the construction of the electric field detector and its plasma chamber test program.
