Nov. 24 – “Il venditore di medicine” by Antonio Morabito wins the NICE USA 2014 festival, which came to an end yesterday in San Francisco. The events in New York, San Francisco and Washington were sold out thanks to the charm of the Italian Way that makes the world eat, dress, decorate, and speak Italian. The public also appreciated Paolo Genovese as a director, for the premiere of “Tutta colpa di Freud,” and as a writer for “Ti ricordi di me?” by Rolando Ravello. Rossella De Venuto presented at the New York Film Academy, “Controra,” starring Federico Castelluccio (The Sopranos). Edoardo Ponti was at the Vogue Theatre in San Francisco to present two short films, “Il turno di notte lo fanno le stelle” and “La voce umana”. Paolo Virziì attended the closing ceremony for the US edition with “Il capitale umano”, Italy’s proposal for an Oscar nomination. Morabito will receive the N.I.C.E. City of Florence 2014 award on December 14 in the Tuscan capital. (Red)
