Istanbul – The film The Lack has been selected to represent Italy in major European festivals. The film – the result of the combination of Masbedo’s video-art and cinema – was screened at the 71st Venice Film Festival. The movie brings to the silver screen the experience of six female characters, immersed in a sublime and primitive nature, who embark on an inner journey to deal with separation and abandonment, rediscovering along the way the courage to put back together the pieces of their lives, to fill the emptiness. The film was selected for: the Rendezvous with Italian Cinema festival in Istanbul – scheduled for Nov. 29 – Dec. 4; for the Mostra de Cinema Italia de Barcelona, which offers the titles presented at the Cannes, Locarno, Venice, Toronto and London Film Festivals, scheduled for December 12-18; for the Mittelcinemafest Bratislava, organized by Mittel Cinema Fest, from December 1-6; and for the Cinema Made in Italy Festival, scheduled in London for March 5-9, 2015.
