Veracruz – The Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Mario Giro participated in the 24th Ibero-American Summit, currently underway in Veracruz, Mexico, which brings together Latin American countries, Spain and Portugal. “Italy’s observer status is indicative of its role in Latin America and our excellent relations with the Ibero-American Organization, which has its headquarters in Spain. Any exercise that strengthens relations between Europe and the region is both desirable and valuable, as there is still a lot of unexplored economic potential – said Giro – The Veracruz summit will certainly contribute to the success of the Seventh Italy – Latin America and the Caribbean Conference, scheduled for June 2015 in Milan. I’m here also to personally convey to all heads of delegations the invitation to this important conference and to ensure their participation at the highest political level.”(9Colonne)
